Q: Who can use the Tip device?

A: The Tip is a universal tongue-operated controller accessible to all user groups with motor functions of the tongue. Even users with weakened functions, such as those with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), can often use the Tip due to its high sensitivity and adaptability to the user's anthropometry.

Q: Is the Tip device FDA certified?

A: No, the Tip device is not FDA certified as it is not a therapeutic or medical device, is non-invasive, and does not require usage in unsupervised conditions. The main purpose of Tip is to demonstrate that controlling a computer and performing creative work can be easy, affordable, and safe for your health. Any consumer can purchase Tip. Whether you are rocking a baby and your hands are occupied, controlling a drone, or unable to use your hands to operate a computer for any other reason, Tip provides a simple solution to your needs. However, all materials used in the device are FDA certified.

Q: I've heard about tongue-operated computer control devices 20 years ago. How is your device better?

A: Tip is a non-personalized, lightweight, accessible, and incredibly precise device. We will soon be starting a testing program, and you can sign up to try it out for yourself.

Q: In which countries is the device available?

A: The device will be available for purchase in the USA, UK, and Serbia by late 2025 or early 2026. By the end of 2024, we will start sending test kits to participants in our testing program. The testing program is open to English-speaking users worldwide.

Q: What stage is the project at?

A: We are finalizing the research and development of the main part of the device and assembling the test kit. Until the second quarter of 2025, we will be collecting feedback and refining the design and software based on user feedback from participants in the testing program. Sales are expected to begin in late 2025 or early 2026.

Q: Do you a financial aids to support customers who need the Tip device?

A: Yes, the registration for the support program by Taras Kosik, founder of Tip Assistive Technologies LLC, will open a few months before the sales begin. The program will not be competitive; all applicants who meet the criteria will be eligible to receive a discount, a free device, or a set of replacement modules, depending on their application. The program will be quota-based and personally funded by the founder.
